okay… but you want chapter 2 of the “Excuses” trilogy, right?

2020 was INSANE, right?!

Okay… let me transport you back, briefly. I was (and still am) living in LA when the world broke out into chaos and never returned back to homeostasis.

Even at the top of the year (around Grammys weekend), we were all doing a lot of soul-searching and, luckily for me and some friends, we created a trusted and safe pod that had a 24/7 recording studio available to us for free in Koreatown.

In order to keep this going once lockdown started, we had to constantly monitor for COVID symptoms, get tested, and overall just stay out of the way while also creating a ton of new music (because… what else was there to do?!) - but I digress.

During that era, I did some reflecting on what made the first “Excuses.” album so special and I think, on top of working with my favorite producers during that time-frame, there was a clear feeling of a “hero’s journey” type narrative going on throughout.

A clear start and finish.

So I decided to make “Excuses.” into a trilogy. (“Excuses”, “More Excuses”, and “No More Excuses”)

If you’re grabbing the first free “Excuses.” CD, it’ll probably feel a bit more complete with the second part too.

It’ll ESPECIALLY make more sense once the third one comes out… (*wink wink*)
